Every season offers a world of experiences—from springtime in Amsterdam to Christmas in Germany—but to get the most of your next journey timing is everything. At Travcoa, we strive to pair the perfect itinerary with the best season in which to experience it. After all, while Rome in April may be lovely, at the height of summer it can be downright oppressive.
In an effort to deliver the right vacation at just the right time, we’d like to offer a plug for a sometimes over-looked travel season: autumn! We’ve fallen for September and October travel for a few reasons. To begin with, the start of school, or as the Parisians call it, la rentrée, means many cities see little-to-no tourists in the fall months. And, as the crowds thin, the weather remains pleasant and mild. Gone are the hot and humid days of summer and winter is still months away, making the climate delightful just about any place you can get your passport stamped. Finally, fall is arts season in Europe and harvest festival time the world over, giving you even more reasons to hit the road this September and October. Here are just a few of our favorites:
